La rencontre du dimanche 28 avril a lieu dans Hochelaga, donnant l’occasion de découvrir de nombreux témoins du patrimoine industriel montréalais. Le quartier, traversé par une ancienne voie ferrée devenue aujourd’hui la Promenade Luc-Larivée, compte plusieurs bâtiments industriels reconvertis en commerces, tels le Watson & Foster, aujourd’hui Village des valeurs, ou la station terminale Shawinigan convertie en condominiums. La très jolie place Simon Valois est un exemple remarquable de réhabilitation urbaine. Ce dimanche de dessin est l’occasion de lancer le thème de l’été 2024 et d’une future exposition dédiés au patrimoine industriel de Montréal.

• 10 h : rencontre à la Place Simon-Valois, coin Ontario et avenue Valois H1W 1S2 / métro Joliette (ligne verte) https://montreal.ca/en/places/place-simon-valois
• 12 h : dîner libre, vous pouvez apporter votre lunch ou bien aller manger dans les restaurants du quartier.

The meeting on Sunday, April 28 takes place in Hochelaga, where we can sketch many examples of Montreal’s industrial heritage. The district, crossed by a former railway line now called the Promenade Luc-Larivée, has several industrial buildings converted into businesses, such as the Watson & Foster, today Value Village, and the Shawinigan terminal station converted into condominiums. The very pretty Place Simon Valois is a remarkable example of urban rehabilitation. This drawing Sunday is an opportunity to launch the theme of summer 2024 and a future exhibition dedicated to the industrial heritage of Montreal.

• 10:00 am: meeting at Place Simon Valois , corner of Ontario street and Valois avenue H1W 1S2 / Joliette Metro (green line) see above map. https://montreal.ca/en/places/place-simon-valois
• 12:00, noon:  lunch free style, you may bring your lunch or choose one of the neighbouring restaurants.
• 3:00 pm : final meeting where we share our drawings at Place Simon Valois
