Invitation à l’exposition « Le canal de Lachine et ses quartiers”/ The Lachine Canal & its Neighbourhoods exhibition
The collective exhibition celebrates the architectural and landscape wealth of the Lachine Canal and its surroundings. From the Old Port to Lake St. Louis, the Lachine Canal is a formidable historical marker of the urban and industrial landscape of the island of Montreal, a wealth that has been constantly remodeled from its origins to the present day. The works on display illustrate the waterway and its locks, as well as its emblematic approaches such as the old factories, the green spaces, the vernacular buildings of the neighboring districts and the people who inhabit it.
The exhibition will continue until November 10th, 2019
