Postcard from Calgary

This was sketched along the Bow River. As you remember, it was only in June that the floods had the water almost touching the underside of the bridge (completely submerging that lower deck of traffic).

Along the banks there are traces of the flood waters – uprooted trees and the ground cover that was washed away.

Further east, the Inglewood bird sanctuary and the Calgary Zoo suffered quite a bit of damage.

    Never thought about that – but yes, I bet the zoo was completely underwater.
