From the 39th sketchcrawl

April 13, 2013

I didn’t stay long this morning at the 39th sketchcrawl, Montreal edition, but here is my attempt of the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes chapel. Sketched from the windows at UQAM, what this sketch does not show is the abundance of trees between me and the chapel. I had to do a bit of fill-in-the-blanks. I’ve always found the gold-gilded statue to be unique – its brillance is somewhat out of step with the rest of the church.

Sorry I missed it! Looks great even if you just had a bit of time there.

Hey! Sorry I missed it – plenty of neat stuff in that area of town – yes, that statue glows in the right light 🙂
