Canadian Center for Architecture: Drawing Party this weekend: Nuit Blanche

février 27, 2013

This just in! the Canadian Center for Architecture (1920, rue Baile Montréal, Québec) is hosting a free public drawing event during their Nuit Blanche party.

Saturday March 2 from 7pm to 1am

Shari Blaukopf and I (Marc Taro Holmes) will be on hand doing sketches and inviting the general public to draw right on top of our drawings.

Last year we made a huge stack of collaborative murals with plenty of graffiti added by everyone who stopped by. If anyone is interested in coming down, artists of all levels are more than welcome! It’s open to everyone and anyone who might want to draw collaboratively, or on their own piece side by side. (Markers and paper are provided, please, no personal art supplies, they need to restrict the materials to their specific water-pens).

There will be some live music, there’s a cash bar, and various other entertainment – and of course their galleries are open all night.

Shari and I will be drawing from our own work sketching in the streets of Montreal. Using our sketchbooks as a reference archive. Feel free to bring a picture of anything you’d like to sketch. People will very likely be drawing from imagination, (just for fun) as well.
